Every so often I remember that I have a BLOG! And suddenly I’m dropping everything to get back in touch with my writerly side. I used to do this all the time- get in touch with myself – but as I’ve gotten older I seem to be touching myself less.
Yesterday, late morning. We stopped at the supermarket on the way to a friend’s house and as I had a lizard on my shoulder and the dog in the car, my daughter kindly offered to run in.
In a week I will be leaving for an extended out-of-town stay. As I don’t own a laptop, I’ve decided to try writing a blog post on my iPhone. So here goes. Continue reading
As some of you know, in addition to blogging here, I also run a low-sodium food site called The Daily Dish. I’ve spent years creating recipes, sometimes off the top of my head, other times jumping off something already published. I often go through cookbooks and websites looking for new ideas and inspiration. Whenever I adapt someone else’s work, whether slightly or significantly, I make a point of citing sources and linking to the original. It’s simply the right thing to do.
